Creative Recovery

for the

Soul Who Serves

Applied creativity that transforms burden into nourishment through gentle guidance, community connection, and steady space to do the work that brings you to life.

Serving from Depletion

You might be someone who:

You just want to feel alive in your life. Every day. Not waiting for someday.

If that's you, you're among kindred spirits.

It’s not too late. You’re not too old. You’re not broken or bad. You’ve just been creating in isolation, and creators need connection. And if you’re a human with a beating heart, you are a creator, whether you accept the language of it or not. There just might be some extra layers of conditions to your current terminology.

To get back to your creative essence, the creative essence of humankind, to connect beyond conditions, let’s widen the frame, expand your circle, find some new language.

Baby steps. I can help.

let's get it

Space to be nurtured in your creativity

You receive dedicated space to do the work that matters to you. Whether it’s:

  • Applied book study where you actually bring your learning into your daily life
  • Creativity coaching to support your creative calling
  • Co-working time to take clear, intentional, inspired action
  • Energetic alignment work to enhance your creative flow and remove blockages

You will be seen, heard and held for bringing your desires into form – with full acceptance and celebration of whatever action you take & gentle accountability for taking those aligned actions.

you get to choose

Most programs give you more to do. Here you get space to do the work you know you need to do. Make space to do the work that matters to you. Designed for your unique learning style and creative process.

You’ll be actively deconditioning – walking away from the conditions that may be depriving you of the pleasure, appreciation and joy that bring you to life!

What if you could create for the pure pleasure of it? What if you had a sacred practice to express yourself fully, completely, in a language that is just for you? And what if, in the process of taking that creative space for yourself, you find yourself able to serve from overflow instead of drawing from an empty well?

Bring Your Creative Spirit Back to Life

Coaching for Creative Recovery is a transformational process designed to help you apply your creative power to living a life you love every day. Not waiting for someday.

For The Ones Who Feel Stuck

I work with people who are stuck in patterns of:

No artistic endeavor required. No creative skill required. This isn’t always about that kind of creativity.

This is the human kind of creating – using your imagination to see what else might be possible. To recognize magic among the mundane.

a virtual fit

All of our work is done virtually and scheduled to fit your creative life – to serve you best.

In our work together, we’ll:

  • Get honest about the life you desire and what’s stopping you from creating it
  • Take inspired small steps right in our sessions to help you reach beyond those limits
  • Build momentum to keep going with gentle accountability that honors your helper nature

Creating a Well Being

Everything I’ve learned has been essential medicine in my own journey through creative recovery. As a young wife and mama, I was only 6 weeks postpartum with baby number two when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at age 25. I got lost under the pressure of caretaking and needing to receive extra care all at the same time. “Who am I?” became one of the questions I most dreaded.

Always managing to find some words, something true, something real to anchor into, I fumbled my way through the next dozen years or so, and by a measure of pure magic, I found Reiki and expressive arts. Then I found Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching. I found people who had language to describe things in ways that I felt in my bones. I found my inspiration again. I found that life force energy that had been smoldering under the burden of care, and with a renewed sense of love and care, I started to write new stories that broke through the conditions. I stopped waiting for someday when I felt better, and I started feeling my way into well-being.

One small step at a time. One word at a time. One moment at a time.

Creating With Love

I’ve done the research and experimentation and trained (a learning highlights listed here), so I can help you see through the muck in your mind, limitations in your body, or drain on your spirit. I help you connect the dots to the way through by teaching you a simple process to pour some love on it, whatever it is.

You’ll learn to apply your creative power and resources to bring you back to life – a life you love waking up to every day. You can be done waiting for the weekend!

rooted in these values

having examples, shared language and models changed everything

Going through it is tough—no matter what it is! Finding guides who can help you recognize that you do actually have everything you need within you can give you the evidence to keep going in spite of the circumstances. Like a Light in the dark.

“We must risk delight. We can do without pleasure, but not delight. Not enjoyment. We must have the stubbornness to accept our gladness in the ruthless furnace of this world.” – Jack Gilbert (via Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic)

Liz Gilbert says in Big Magic, “But I will never forget what the real Jack Gilbert told somebody else—… ‘Do you have the courage? Do you have the courage to bring forth this work? The treasures that are hidden inside you are hoping you will say yes.'”

Saying yes doesn’t mean you go it alone. Saying yes means that you’re going to need a crew to cheer you on and help you when it gets rough.

Let’s build the dream.

In private coaching with Owl-Create and Monday morning “Atmosphere” zoom meetings, I have discovered an endangered humankind. Elizabeth is truly an ABCD which stands for Above and Beyond the Call of Duty.
